IMMUNE Building Standard
The IMMUNE Building Standard is an international certification programme that can be used to identify buildings that have been designated as safe from the transmission of COVID-19 or other contagious airborne illnesses. It was developed by Liviu Tudor of the European Property Federation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
The Standard measures architectural engineering, technology, design and operational practices to certify buildings to one of three levels: Strong (three star), Powerful (four star) or Resilient (five star). Ratings are evaluated by a qualified assessor who then awards points towards compliance with acceptable standards. It can be used by any international building assessment and certification entity to certify buildings at any stage of their life cycle.
